# Latest Updates

{% updates format="full" %}
{% update date="2026-05-08" %}

## Sign-in verification

When an attendee opens a personalised event link on a browser we don't recognise, they will be asked to enter a 6-digit code sent to the email address on their account. Once verified, they are signed in and taken to their intended destination.

This helps prevent situations where a personalised link is opened by someone other than the intended recipient, for example a forwarded email, a shared device, or a link that has been passed on.

**What changed**

* Personalised event links opened on unrecognised browsers now prompt for a 6-digit email verification code before sign-in.
* Browsers are remembered as trusted after a successful sign-in, so attendees aren't prompted on every visit.
* Magic links and all other sign-in methods are unaffected.

## Regions of Interest update

The Regions of Interest list has been updated. Where possible, terms from the previous lists have been mapped to the new list and the old lists have been removed from the hub.

The new list contains: APAC, EUROPE, MIDDLE EAST, AFRICA, NORTH AMERICA, LATAM, GLOBAL.

**What changed**

* The homepage calendar region filter now pulls from the new Regions of Interest list.
* Only the new list is visible in the event categorisation section.
* No action is required, existing events have been mapped automatically.
